Response to Cat's Challenge, I think.. (the one about being really

short)

Summary: sometimes the smallest things mean the most ;)

The harsh lights of the drug store made him squint; intensifying the

whiteness of the tiles on the floor he was striding down.  It was here

somewhere, he knew it  had to be, he hadn’t had to buy it for himself in

such a long time, after one bottle goes a long way, and that was back when

he had Harm to do what he wanted. Stupid sugar coated--the very thought of

how many brain cells had never been in her head made him shudder; then

again, didn’t annoy him nearly as much as that stupid Slayer, he still

couldn’t believe she broke his last bottle, ruined the final coat too!

‘Aha!,” in front of him in rows, all the bottles, now to find the right one

: blue, green, red, red, red  ‘too many bloody reds,’ he chuckled inwardly

at the horrible pun, pink, pink, clear, ‘huh? what was that good for?’

“Yes!,” Spike ignored the strange looks of the other customers and made his

way to the register, and proudly put down his purchase.

“That all sir?,” Spike looked around and then nodded in the affirmative.

“Very well, one bottle of black Revlon Nail Polish, $3.50; would you like a

bag for that?”
